A stock technical analysis course teaches that if you’re able to make it through several years of commodity trading you’ll see all the price patterns out there (read that again ). All the rest of repetition of those patterns . One of the interesting things about trading in commodities is that as you watch markets move up , while others are at the bottom, (the end of bear markets) you can say to yourself ” okay, they’ll be going up next.” Of course, Without doubt, the cycle is begun once again, from the bottom up to the top and of course, from the top down to the bottom . All markets will one day cease to move down in price and they’ll move sideways for some time and then their price will go up . In commodities the bear market always comes to an end , and bull markets always end too .
What I have just gone through shows an approach that is long term and philosophical to market price analysis . To put it simply, if in the past year or so the market prices have gone down , the bear market is coming to an end , and at some point all commodities will go back up . You don’t even need a chart to realize this . However, when you look at charts by using a stock technical analysis course, one becomes aware of the termination of the bear trend and a trader can figure out their position.
For trading you can’t go with an assumption that by being aware of general movements of prices by reading newspapers, or “thinking” about it , that it will help you in the long term to assume prices and the way they move. More often than not this approach won’t allow you to restrict any limits on what you can lose once you enter the market , because of negative price movements or after profits have been accumulated. For those that don’t use charting in up markets, for example, are caught by surprise by a bear crack and/or a major bear trend evolving .
